There will be a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Denton, Texas, with the Rev. Matt Gaston and the Rev. Chris Searcy officiating. There will be a reception following the service at First United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be made up of family members and close friends. The place of interment will be Roselawn Cemetery in Denton, Texas. Helen Irene Classen went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 6, at 92 years of age. She was born August 23, 1917, in Minneola, Kan., to Abe and Agnus Peters.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Countryside Bible Church, rural Meade, Kan., with the Rev. David Cummings presiding.

Hazel Eunice VanZant, 74, Satanta, Kan., died on March 6, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, Grant County, Ulysses, Kan. She was born Nov. 29, 1935, in True, W.Va., to John William and Rose Florence (Farmer) Thompson. She moved from Flint, Mich., to this area in 1980.

Fidel Montoya Sr.
Fidel Montoya Sr., 68, Porvenir Chihuaua, Mexico, and former Moscow, Kan., resident died at his home in Porvenir, Mexico. The son of Heriberto and Candelaria (Gonzalez) Montoya, he was born April 24, 1941, at Porvenir Chihuahua, Mexico.

Bernadean Cotter, 78, of Liberal, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 4, at the Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. The daughter of Bernard and Irma (All) Kraber, she was born on March 12, 1931, north of Rolla, Kan.

Edwin Schmidt, 91, Montezuma, Kan., died Wednesday morning, March 3, at Bethel Home Inc., Montezuma, Kan., where he was a resident. The son of Benjamin and Susie (Unruh) Schmidt, he was born Aug. 6, 1918, at Las Animas, Colo. He was a longtime Montezuma, Kan., resident.

He was born Jan. 6, 1933, at Grundy Center, Iowa, the son of Gus and Esther (Van Deest) Rindels.

Leila Rosslyne Pate, 88, Hugoton, died Wednesday, March 3, at Wheatridge Park Care Center, Liberal. The daughter of Ross Elmer and Bertha Jane (Wilson) Taylor, she was born July 2, 1921, in Stevens County, Kansas. She was a lifetime resident for thirty years.
